- Steady,
warm trade winds that blow 24-hours a day. These winds are direct from Africa.
If there's a wind storm in the Sahara desert, we sometimes see a light haze in
the sky over us!
- Dazzling
turquoise, crystal-clear warm water.
- Superb
snorkeling and diving. Many always have excellent visibility, which is not true
in many other areas.
- Excellent
beaches, fun places to visit ashore.
- The
Caribbean's most calm and protected waters. Numerous anchorages that are flat
calm, for a peaceful night's sleep!
The
Virgin Islands have become a year-round destination. The strongest winds of the
year, called Christmas Winds, peak between late December - February.
You
can cruise and learn in the British Virgin Islands on all of our yachts, and spend
time in the US Virgins on most of our yachts.
Our
ASA Sailing School in the Virgin Islands has a unique model: you are the guest
of our owner-operator instructors about their personal yachts. This means you
know exactly what you are getting: a top tier, professional crew, and a yacht
where everything actually works!
